David Tlale, Gavin Rajah and an All-Female Orchestra: Miss SA 2026's Finale Is a Full African Fashion Moment
The Miss South Africa 2026 finale is shaping up to be as much about fashion and music as the crown itself. On Saturday, 14 November, the Sandton Convention Centre will host the Top 12 finalists under the theme Miss South Africa 2026: The Mandate.
A designer line-up that mixes legends with newcomers
Official Fashion Partner House of Nala has curated a showcase spanning established names and rising talent. David Tlale, Craig Port, Gavin Rajah, Sello Medupe of Scalo and Orapeleng Modutle will share the stage with NALA Privé designers Loice Dube, Keneuoe Mhletswa and Samkelo Xaba.
The AFI Fastrack Prize 2025/26 Top 3 finalists — Mmathabo Silika, Kabelo Moukangwe and Itumeleng Ramakaue — also join the line-up, placing emerging designers in the same spotlight as the industry's heavyweights.
Women leading the music too
The finale's creative theme, From Imbokodo to Diamond, celebrates women's strength, resilience and leadership — and an all-female orchestra will put women's musicianship front and centre, with the conductor and musicians bringing their own authority to the occasion.
The story continues after the final curtain: all 12 finalists will be welcomed as Empower Youth Africa ambassadors on finale night, extending their community impact beyond the competition.
